1 cereal box (empty) scissors masking tape paper clips marble (or small ball) The challenge: Build a successful marble run following the video directions. This can be attached to a wall (with permission given), the fridge, or a piece of poster board. *Bonus: Can you get another cereal box and build supports so that the marble run can stand on its own?* |

Build a Boat
Materials:
2 toilet paper rolls
Scissors
Glue or tape
2 pieces of paper
The challenge:
Build a boat that will float in water. Add pennies to see how many it can hold.
1) Did your original design float?
2) How many pennies was it able to hold?
3) If you did it again, what would you do differently?

1 piece of standard sized paper (8 1/2 by 11)
Scissors
Glue or tape
Any sized straw
The challenge:
Create a straw rocket. You may follow the directions given or create your own. Your rocket should be powered by your breath through the straw.

Your device should hold the textbook at least 1 inch off the table without any extra help. Plan wisely!
